How Humble Are You? — 12 Comments

  1. I often feel as if humility and compassion are directly linked. I can’t feel one without the other, especially when viewing those in what society might deem “lower” positions. When ever I start feeling prideful in the sense of “better than,” I simply remind myself of the times I’ve had to learn tough lessons, made decisions others deemed “less than” and remind myself that I have not walked in their shoes and so, cannot judge. I;m certainly not perfect! But I try. Thank you for the reminder today!

  2. Humility is a great trait to have. In my past positions as a receptionist it would amaze me how many times I was ignored or my opinions didn’t matter. Everyone is equal in my eyes. What I love the most is watching people on their cell phones having a complete conversation while never making eye contact to the cashier. What has the world become. I always make it a point to acknowledge and thank any store clerk, cashier, bagger, greeter or receptionist I meet.

    • Being thankful is a great way to treat people with respect and a help to keep yourself humble. I’m sure all those clerks and cashiers etc., really appreciate you.

  3. Cheryl, what great thoughts and truths on humility. Your opening questions really got me thinking. I like how you include all the images too. I think of Joseph in the OT as a very humble man. I’d be interested to know what tool you use for the pinning technique and the click to tweet technique. I love learning from you. Blessings, Amy

    • Glad they got you thinking. Exactly what I had in mind. I use jquery pin it button for images plugin and the website clicktotweet.com for the pic techniques.
