This is the third and final book in the Dinah Harris mystery series. The author develops the character and story lines enough to make this a stand-alone book, but it would be helpful to read the other two (Deadly Disclosures and The Shadowed Mind) beforehand in order to better understand the characters.
As with the other books in the series, Julie Cave has several subplots going on as well as the main plot. The main plot is about Dinah Harris, former FBI agent, being called in to investigate a serial bomber targeting churches. Also, as with her other novels, the author tackles more than one “issue” in the world and in the church.
