Book Review: iChoose2 Love My Life by the iBloom Team
This book is actually a workbook set up as a year long journey to help you to love your life. In every chapter (there are 52, one for each week) there is either a challenge, questions to answer or coaching assignments to do. To get the best out of this book you really need to use it over a period of time as intended.
It covers a broad range of topics, including: finances, friendships, physical health, home, and spiritual growth. I found the broad range to be very thorough to every aspect of a Christian women’s life, although not specific to a married woman or parent. That’s not a bad thing at all, but I thought appropriate to point it out.
Even though there are four whole weeks devoted to our spiritual lives I would have preferred to have seen that integrated into the workbook somehow instead of separating it out. Perhaps it could have been at least first in the book, or prayer and scriptures added in for each week. Since this book is marketed to Christian women I don’t think that was an unreasonable expectation.
Other than that overall I found this book to be very encouraging and thorough. Being a coach, I especially liked the coaching questions and assignments included.
I encourage all readers to take each chapter one week at a time as the authors recommend and include your own prayer for help from the Holy Spirit and to take note of any areas that need to be developed further.
