Book Review: Perfect* by David Rex Gosnell
What Jesus Teaches Us about Building Intimacy with God… This book uses the “Lord’s Prayer” as our model prayer in getting closer to God. It delves into the Lord’s Prayer in a way that I haven’t seen before. This is not merely a re-hashing of other people’s old stuff on this topic.
Overall this book seemed balanced and level headed. There were only a couple of minor things that I felt were left out (having to do with a difference in doctrine, for example, I believe we can hear God through dreams and this was not mentioned as an option).
Every chapter had a chapter summary—very helpful. Every chapter has study questions—seemed helpful. Most chapters have suggestions to pray and implement what is in each chapter—looks very helpful.
To really absorb everything don’t read this book straight through in one sitting. Take it one chapter at at time and do some of the prayers and study questions.
I think most Christians will find at least a gem or two of insight in this book to make it worth their while to purchase and read this book.

That is interesting that the author uses the Lord’s prayer as his model for intimacy with God. Sounds very intriguing. Blessings, Amy
Yes, and he makes a rather good case for it.
