Book Review: The Seer by James W. Goll
Book Review: The Seer by James W. Goll
This book is about the prophetic power of visions, dreams, and open heavens (the subtitle).
The Seer is the most thorough and uncompromising look into this subject that I have ever seen. No need to be afraid of this topic either, as the author includes plenty of safeguards, tests and cautions.
The author starts out by defining terms (including the difference between seer and prophet), includes information on spiritual discernment, and goes into great detail on all sorts of prophetic experiences in the seer realm and ends with the goal for all of these experiences.
This book has lots of examples, including some from the author’s personal experience, which backs up his authority to teach on this subject. Everything is also backed up by scripture at every turn. No lack of Bible verses in here!
I found this book to be full of wisdom and loaded with “gems” even to the point of being brilliant. It also gave me the feeling that it was anointed and full of mercy.
This updated version includes a 40 day devotional at the back of the book. Included are questions to help you think about and assimilate what you’re reading. The “meditation” part was the most helpful with one thing to implement each day or a general question to contemplate.
If you are interested in the prophetic or have never looked into it, this book is the definitive work on that topic, particularly in the seer realm (visions, dreams, open heavens, trances etc.). Go and get your own copy now.
