Book Review: Worship and the Word by Pamela Haddix
Book Review: Worship and the Word by Pamela Haddix
This book is a Bible study designed to be used in ten weeks, with one chapter per week. It has verses to read, the author’s commentary, a few quotes from other Christians, thoughtful questions and ideas on what to pray for.
I liked the fact that for most of the Bible verses you had to look them up in your own Bible. That way you are not tempted to skip or skim over them.
Mrs. Haddix included lots of insights and different angles of worship and all of them were grounded in the Word. There’s also a handy list of the names of God in the back appendix.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed doing this Bible study and I definitely learned some new things.
A couple of emphases that stood out to me were that all of life can be worshipful and it all begins with a heart of worship.
If you think your personal worship life could use a boost or you simply love Bible studies you will love this book.
