Sun Stand Still by Steven Furtick
Sun Stand Still by Steven Furtick
Sun Stand Still is all about faith—audacious faith—a faith that “makes regular people behave with boldness or daring, especially with confident disregard for personal comfort [or] conventional thought.”
Steven Furtick starts out by welcoming us to audacious faith and making a bold promise that by the time we finish reading his book, we will have this audacious faith pumping through our veins, too.
Overall, this book was real, challenging and refreshing. This author has experienced some levels of real faith—some levels and areas of faith that this reviewer, and most modern-day western Christians have not yet experienced on a personal level.
One important essence to this author’s challenge is to believe God for the impossible. He also weaves in examples and challenges to make all of this personalized to the reader.
I believe he has succeeded with his original promise, that the reader would get some of this audacious faith. I believe it, in part, because he also includes a prayer of impartation at the end and because I could feel throughout reading the entire book, that this book and these words have been laced with prayers for the reader.
Now, onwards and upwards in believing God for the impossible!
