1000 Days by Jonathan Falwell
1000 Days by Jonathan Falwell
This is a book about the ministry of Christ (which happens to be the subtitle as well)—about those last three years —those last 1000 days of His life here on earth.
I loved that there were reflection questions and a Bible study guide included for each chapter—lots of ways to dig deeper if you wanted to.
The author included lots of personal stories to illustrate the points he was making. I found the stories to be truly interesting and truly related to the point—not merely “filler” material as they sometimes turn out to be.
The author was not afraid to tackle theological issues. I especially liked that he included a section on hell—an issue that lots of people try to avoid talking about at all costs.
There were a couple of times when I was reading through this book that I found myself bored but most of it was engaging and at the very least any reader will find plenty of wholesome food for thought especially with all those questions included that I mentioned earlier.
If you want to study what Jesus did in His last three years—His years of ministry—check this book out. As I said, at the very least, it will give you plenty of food for thought.
