Book Review: What Your Dreams Are Telling You by Cindy McGill
Book Review: What Your Dreams Are Telling You by Cindy McGill
I had mixed feelings the entire time I was reading this book. I was wondering until the very end (literally the second to last page) if the author was even a Christian or not because until then there was no mention of “Jesus” or “Christ” and only “God” or other nondescript references to God. I kept thinking that perhaps she was trying to appeal to non-Christians, to not offend them, but in the process she offended me. There was also very few scriptures mentioned, not enough to call the teaching biblical.
At the same time I kept thinking and feeling that the actual information the book contained was very true, totally right on the mark and very helpful. The rules for dream interpretation seemed totally sound to me.
Other positives for this book was that the tone of it was entirely encouraging and positive. There were plenty of examples and everything was thoroughly explained and easy to understand.
Since the author actually IS a Christian I can heartily recommend this book. You just have to keep in mind that perhaps she is trying to appeal to a non-Christian market or for whatever reason is sparse in her real Christian references. If you can overlook that, the information is excellent and sound.
