Great Bible Study and Legacy Resource
I don’t remember exactly how I stumbled upon this gem on the internet but I immediately purchased one of these books, these Journibles. I had always wanted to hand write my own copy of the Bible and I’m sure I have one started laying around somewhere. But these make that effort organized and beautiful and durable. No more black and white marbleized composition notebooks for me!
These journals are organized so that you only write the copied scripture verses on the right side of the pages. The left side is open for your personal notes, thoughts or comments.
The name of the journal series is 17:18 based on Deuteronomy 17:18 where the king is commanded to acquire his own copy of the law.
And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites: Dt 17:18 KJV
The concept or idea behind the journals is also backed up by modern science. It is now known that physically writing out documents, Bible verses,or notes, helps you to retain and understand more of what you are reading and writing.
As far as the legacy part is concerned—what a great gift to leave to your children or grandchildren—a hand-copied book of the Bible!
Every book of the Bible is not available as a journible journal right now but I fully expect them to continue the series until every book is available. Personally I have started with the epistles, plan next to do a gospel, hope to finish the entire New Testament and then move on to the Psalms and Proverbs.
To get your own copy of this journible go here:Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1&2 Thessalonians (Journibles: the 17:18 Series)
