Let the Father Love You
Have you really let the Father love you? Have you really experienced His unconditional love for you? Are you convinced in your heart (as opposed to only a head knowledge) that He loves you no matter what, just the way you are?
You Are Not Alone
If not, you are not alone. It isn’t always an automatic thing, to experience this love, even after coming to a saving knowledge of Christ. It is usually a process or a deliberate encounter initiated by God to have the truth of His love for you go deep into your heart.
We can seek God for this and other encounters but we can’t make them happen. They are all ultimately initiated by God. This does not lessen the importance of seeking after God. On the contrary, He wants you to seek Him!
One Way to Start Seeking Father God’s Love
You can simply start out by asking Him to show you His love for you. A good way to do this is by journaling. Write out the question, something like, Father God, show me how much you love me, OR, Father God, how much do you love me? Be still and listen and start writing.
Do not censor as you are writing. You can always check it against scripture or ask a mentor about it after you’re done but while you are writing do not censor! The hardest part will be in you believing that you actually heard from God. Make a decision to believe it, that is faith.
Another thing to ask God for
Another easy thing to do is to ask the Lord to give you an extra measure of awareness for the little things throughout the day that point to the Father’s love towards you. You can pray for this every day for as long as you need.
