Life Coach Interview: Dixie Diamanti
Life Coach Interview: Dixie Diamanti
Q1.)How did you get into life coaching?
A1.)I have always known God was calling me to counsel. I did it for many years as a bible teacher in various ministries I had founded. I wanted to be able to reach out to people on a one on one basis to make a difference in their lives for God. I wanted to help them realize just how valuable there are and how very much He loves them and has a plan for their lives. A friend suggested Life Coaching and I instantly knew that was where God was leading me. I enrolled, became certified and now here I am!
Q2.)What’s your favorite part about being a life coach?
A2.)Getting to assist the Holy Spirit in reaching down to the very bottom of someone’s life and revealing the road blocks that are keeping them from moving forward. It is an amazing process. I conducted support groups for years for victims of childhood sexual abuse and learned how to step back from my own reasoning’s and allow Holy Spirit to conduct the meetings through me. Now I see the same thing as I coach each person. They come back each week with new revelation and awareness and excitement for their new walk with God. I love meaningful conversations and I love the bond Jesus forms in the process of coaching, not only with Him, but with each other. We are made for community in the body of Christ and it is a wonderful thing to connect in a trusting and loving environment.
Q3.)What are the biggest misconceptions about Life Coaching?
A3.)Many don’t understand what a life coach does. They think of it as a type of psychotherapy. However, personal life coaching is different in that it involves connecting and encouraging you along your life’s journey to the fulfillment you were destined to walk in. Life coaching will guide you into clarity and fulfillment in your life by discovering what you were always meant to do through examining your life’s experiences, good and bad. Coaching will help you if you are blocked, stuck, or blinded by circumstances, yet are committed to moving forward responsibly.
Q4.)How do you incorporate God or biblical principles into your life coaching?
A4.)We examine the fact that we are spirit, we have a soul (mind, will, emotions) and we live in a body. We have to nurture all three parts of ourselves to be whole and healthy. To only coach on how to nurture your mind and body would be a disservice to my clients. We explore the value of nurturing the spirit, the true us, the part of us that is eternal. Without including God in our sessions I would be leaving out the one Person that enables us to change from the inside out. We explore a true relationship with Jesus outside of religion and renewing our minds to think of ourselves the way He sees us and not the way we see ourselves through our filters of past experiences.
Q5.)What is the biggest benefit that your clients rave about after working with you?
A5.)Well, you can read their testimonies on my “Success Stories” page (http://www.reflectionsofgracehome.com/successstory.html) of my web site which would speak louder than I could. When a person comes for coaching they are ready for change. They are saying yes to God that they are open for Him to move in their life; they are ready to work. They love the sense of excitement and expectancy of God revealing to them the plan He has to move them into the next chapter of their life. He has never disappointed. Love dwells here. His love envelopes our meetings. Holy Spirit is always present. Who wouldn’t want to sit and bask in that? They love it!!
Q6.)In order to get the most from life coaching, what advice would you give to someone looking to become a coaching client?
A6.)The journey in discovering your distinctive life purpose will involve focusing in on what your present needs are at this stage of your life. I work with men and women who are ready to make changes and to have the kind of life that is fulfilling and satisfying as we find His perfect will for you in this season of your journey. You will be receiving information that will add to the quality of your life and assist you in growing closer to God. I also help men and women who get blocked, stuck, and blinded from time to time, yet are committed to moving forward responsibly. We will be talking about limiting beliefs, taking ownership for actions, thoughts, and helping design a way to live that will fully express your passions and callings. I desire to see you attain a personal well being and balance in your life. Only you can take the action needed to attain this kind of walk. That is why; even the smallest change can make the biggest difference. The Coaching partnership is a partnership of two equals. My relationship with you is based on a belief that you are a smart, capable, and mature person of the most high God, and I will support you in clarifying, articulating and achieving your desires. This is my commitment. I bring many tools to the session.
Q7.)What current project(s) are you working on?
A7.)I am a blogger and share many of the things I am learning along my own journey with my readers. I have just published my first book on Amazon; Climbing Out Of The Box: My Journey Out of Sexual and Spiritual Abuse Into Freedom and Healing. I am busy on social media to get my book out there in marketing. The book is a memoir of my journey and how through terrible adversities and being in the wilderness God has led me to where I am now.
Q8.)Any final thoughts about sharing your life coaching with my blog readers?
A8.)The journey in discovering your distinctive life purpose will involve focusing in on what your present needs are at this stage of your life. If you are interesting in signing up with me for this part of your journey, we will meet weekly for a series of 60 minute conversations, either by teleconference, or face-to-face-meetings, depending on what program you choose, and your location. Together we will discern the next steps for you along your pathway to purpose through this life-changing process. These are just some of the topics I cover:
