More Than a Conqueror
More Than a Conqueror
Christian, you are more than a conqueror. You have more than overcome. You have more than gained the victory. You have more than vanquished. You have more than subdued the enemy. You have done all that through Jesus, who loves you.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors, through him that loved us. Romans 8:37
What specifically have we conquered from this verse?
From verse 35 we see that we have more than conquered… tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, and sword.
Christian, you have more than overcome tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril and sword. Christian, you have more than gained the victory over tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril and sword. Christian, you have more than vanquished tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril and sword.
What is a suitable response?
Thanksgiving, of course.
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor. 15:57
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ… 2 Cor. 2:14
Christian, God has given you the victory through the Lord Jesus Christ. Christian, God always causes you to triumph in Christ.
Believe it.
Let us believe what God says He has already done for us and be thankful for it and rejoice in triumph daily.
Declare with me: I am a conqueror (conqueress). I am a victor (victoress). I am a triumpher. I am all these things through Jesus Christ my Lord. Thank you God for all this and more.
