My God is not an “it”

My God Has a Name and His name is Jesus—the Lord Jesus Christ that is. He is not an “it”. He is not a “thing”. He is not a “force”. He is not “energy”. He is not a “she” (although He has some “feminine” qualities and one of His names or titles means many-breasted one and both male and female are created in His image).

My God is not the “universe”

My God Has a Name and He is not the “universe”. He is not “mother nature”. He is the God and creator of the universe. He is the God and creator of nature. He is not “whatever you want to call it.” He is not merely “a god”. He is THE God—-The Almighty God, Lord God Almighty, Lord God Most High, Jehovah, Heavenly Father, Everlasting Father, Elohim, Adonai. He has lots of names or titles but as you can see, He is not an “it”.

My God is not “a” spirit

He is not “a” spirit or simply “spirit”. He is THE Holy Spirit. There are lots of spirits but there is only ONE Holy Spirit and this Holy Spirit is not an “it” either but a “He”.

My God is Lord of lords

He is the King of glory. He is King of kings. He is Lord of hosts. He is Lord of lords. He is Immanuel. He is Messiah, Saviour, Redeemer. He is Prince of Peace, Righteous Judge, and I Am. He is Alpha and Omega. He is the Bright Morning Star.

My God is THE Savior

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Way, the Life and the Truth. He has many titles and qualities but He is not an “it” and He is not the same God of every religion. He is not “a” savior. He is THE Savior. He is the first and the last. There is no God beside Him. There is none like Him. He has many more names or titles than even those listed here!

My God is the Lord Jesus Christ

My God is not an “it”. He is not one god among many gods. He is THE God, THE Creator, THE Living God, the God of gods. Lord Jesus Christ who once lived in Nazareth in human form, who was crucified, who was buried and who was raised again from the dead, THIS is my God.

LOVE this post, Cheryl! This is such an important distinction, especially in these days when people are trying to be too nice to others not sharing the same faith (not realizing that many times by doing it they compromise their faith). Thank you for being brave and posting this important message!
