Will You be at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb?

Psalm 45
We know this psalm speaks of Christ at the end of the age because He is seen with His Queen. There currently is no Queen in Heaven at the time of this writing, nor did she exist at the time this psalm was written. There will be no Queen at Christ’s side until after the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, when the Heavenly Bridegroom marries the Bride of Christ, the Church. But in verse 9, she is seen standing by the King of Kings,
Psalm 45:9 Kings’ daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
She is warned in verse 10:
Psalm 45:10-11 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father’s house; 11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.

The queen is admonished to forget, or to put in last-place, her former life, her family, and her beginnings. she is told to let go of those things, because the King desires her, He is her Lord and she is commanded to worship Him.
Luke 9:60-62 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. 61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. 62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
.
.
Christ said much the same thing to His disciples, saying that he who desires to follow after Him cannot turn back to the plough, must let the dead bury their dead, and must not return to bid farewell to their family, but instead must take up their cross and follow Him. In other words there is a cost to abandoning one’s former life to follow Christ!

Are we really asked to excommunicate ourselves from our families and jobs? In all honesty, in some cultures of the world, the answer is an unequivocal, unquestioning, destructively decisive YES!!! There are some countries and regions of the world where choosing to follow Christ results in not merely leaving families and livelihoods, but leaving their very breath as they are killed for choosing Christ! The cost, the cross we are each asked to bear will be different for each one of us, but it will be a cost that if we choose not bear it, could result in missing the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. I want to be there, do you?
